Meet our new Dispute Litigation Lawyer, Annest Smith

We are pleased to welcome Annest to our team of experienced Consultant Lawyers at nexa law.

Annest is an experienced solicitor advocate (higher rights –civil proceedings). She is also a qualified civil mediator and an accredited conveyancer. Clients describe Annest as an approachable but tenacious litigator, who adopts a pragmatic approach to resolving disputes.

During her years of practice, Annest has managed a wide range of matters on behalf of both commercial and private clients, ranging from residential landlord and tenant eviction proceedings funded by a landlord insurance provider, to challenging a will disposing of a multimillion-pound estate on behalf of disappointed beneficiaries. Because of her dual role, Annest can undertake any conveyancing work required to finalise property disputes after conclusion of proceedings, such as drafting and registering transfers of equity or transfers of part to give effect to a settlement agreement.

Her areas of expertise include:

• Property litigation – including adverse possession, prescriptive rights and easement disputes, neighbour and boundary issues, landlord and tenant matters including agricultural holdings, construction disputes and TOLATA cases.
• Contentious probate – including disputes involving trusts and estate administration, applications for the removal of personal representatives, will challenges and Inheritance (Provisions for Family and Dependents) Act 1975 claims.
